Our caregivers are certified and receive ongoing education to maintain their State of Arizona issued caregiver certification. We maintain a one to five caregiver to resident ratio, which allows our caregivers more time to interact with our residents.
Caregivers assist residents with activities of daily living such and bathing, dressing and grooming, assistance with eating and hydration, and medication management. Our incontinent program assists residents with incontinent products and maintaining good hygiene. We strive each day to provide these services while protecting the dignity and privacy for the residents in our care.
Shepherd Hills has two large shower spas where residents can receive as little or as much assistance as needed. The showers are equipped with hand held shower wands and shower benches and are large enough to easily accommodate a caregiver to hands on assist residents that may have safety concerns.
Assistance when it is needed
Our caregivers are never too far away. Unlike large centers that rely on a resident’s ability to push a button or call for help, Sheppard Hills is designed so residents can easily access a caregiver when they need assistance.
